Pricing:
The cost of an hour session within the UK is £48 per hour this includes the time spent delivering the session and planning and preparation for the session.
For face to face sessions there will be an increment of £15 within the Launceston area or 15 miles distance. Further afield will incur further costs to cover fuel, this will be calculated depending on the distance- a travel distance of 30 miles will result in an increment of £20 on top of the hourly cost of £40.
The cost of the hour session for international students is at a set price per hour per specific regions based on the current exchange rate at the time based upon £48. Examples of potential exchange rates USA-$57 , Canada- $77, Australia- $88, New Zealand- $95, China- Yuan 413 and the Eurozone- E53.
Payment:
It is expected that payments for sessions are made upfront. One session at a time is expected to be paid for. If a session has not been paid for before the booked time then the session will not take place.
Payment can be made direct into my bank account- details given once booking has been made and an email receipt will be given. Alternatively payments can be made through Paypal, Cash with a receipt or a cheque provided by a bank, personal cheques will not be accepted.
Cancellation Policy:
If a session is cancelled on the day of the session then a refund will not be given.
If a session is cancelled with advanced notice then a refund will be made or the session can be rearranged with no penalty costs.
If for some unknown reason I am not able to attend the session, advanced notice will be given if possible to allow a rearrangement of the session. If a session is cancelled by me on the day and there cannot be a rearranged session then I will refund the cost of the session.
If there are technical issues relating to internet connection, Skype or zoom issues then a refund will be made or the session can be rearranged. If the session is lost during the session due to technical issues then a refund can be made for the minutes lost. For example if there is 30 minutes of the session remaining and there is a technical issue resulting in a session not being completed then a refund of £20.00 would be made.
GDPR:
The privacy policy sets out what personal information I receive from you, how I use it and under what circumstances, if any, I share it with other parties. I abide by and are compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 (herein referred to as “The DPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (herein referred to as “The GDPR”) which came into effect on 25th May 2018. I am committed to keeping your personal information secure and confidential.
Lawful Basis for Collecting Data:
For the purposes of The GDPR, I process all personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. Under Article 6 of The GDPR, the lawful basis on which I process personal data received from you is that of “Contract” - whereby processing is necessary in order to fulfill your enquiries. I retain information provided by you, such as transaction information for internal financial accounting purposes. It is a legal requirement to retain this information for a period of 7 years.
Data I Receive: Personally Identifiable Information:
I receive personally identifiable information from you only when it is voluntarily submitted by you when booking a tutorial session. The data I receive includes: name, billing address, e-mail address and telephone number.I will not sell or rent personally identifiable information to any third party for any purpose.
I will treat all information from you as private and confidential. I will not reveal any personal details or details concerning your enquiry or bookings to anyone not connected with me, unless:
- I am required or permitted to do so by law
Data Subject Access Requests:
Under The GDPR clients are entitled to obtain from me a copy of the data held concerning them and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. I am obliged to provide this data to within 1 calendar month of the request and free of charge. However I have the right to refuse or charge for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive and repetitive.
